• Scholarship Description

Black Parent Magazine offers a $3,000  Scholarship to support students who identify as black or African American and are interested in pursuing a career in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) profession. Applicants must be a United States citizen or permanent resident. The student must be a graduating high school senior, a current college student, or an adult seeking educational or career advancement through an accredited degree or certification program at a two or four year college and/or nonprofit technical school. have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent on a 5.0 scale). All candidates must submit with a completed application: a resume, essay of 250 words minimum, two written recommendations, with at least one from a school official (e.g. guidance counselor and teacher), and an official transcript of your academic record.  Application Deadline: June 4.2021
